Crown City Hardware exclusive, cast iron "Windsor" pattern escutcheon. A very popular design pattern in the Victorian period, the Windsor pattern highlights this cast iron reproduction. Originally manufactured by the Reading Hardware Co., the Windsor design was widely distributed by the Sears, Roebuck & Co., and Montgomery Wards. The pattern was added to almost every kind of builder's hardware, from widow fasteners to cabinet knobs. Though reflective of Victorian decorative art, the Windsor pattern was manufactured well into the 1930's.

It’s an ideal escutcheon to pair with one of our reproduction mineral knobs, and we offer them as complete sets with original antique mineral knobs, item 901B.
